Husband-and-wife duo Shahzaib “Shaz” Lalani and Mariam Lalani built Verity Behavioral Solutions with a shared vision: to create a space where children and families receive the highest quality, compassionate care rooted in authenticity and innovation. With Mariam’s deep expertise in Applied Behavior Analysis (ABA) and Shaz’s entrepreneurial prowess, they combined their strengths to bring Verity to life.

Mariam’s years of dedication to the field and her passion for making a real difference inspired Shaz to invest his business acumen and resources into building a clinic that not only meets but exceeds industry standards. Together, they’ve created a place where children can thrive, families feel supported, and therapists are empowered to deliver exceptional care. Our Team

Mariam B. Lalani

Founder & COO, Verity Behavioral Solutions

Mariam is the Founder and Chief Operating Officer of Verity Behavioral Solutions. She earned her Bachelor’s degree in Psychology from the University of Texas and her Master’s in Psychology from The Chicago School of Professional Psychology. With over eight years of experience in the field of Applied Behavior Analysis (ABA), she has held various roles, gaining a deep understanding of the needs of children, families, and the professionals who support them.

Driven by a passion for making a meaningful difference, Mariam founded Verity Behavioral Solutions to create a space that reflects her core values—authenticity, compassion, and innovation. She envisioned a clinic that moves beyond traditional models, fostering creativity, individualized care, and trauma-informed practices to better serve children and their families.

As a Certified Autism Specialist (CAS) and Organizational Behavior Management (OBM) Specialist, she is committed to elevating clinical excellence while ensuring that every child receives the support they need to thrive. Through Verity, she continues to champion evidence-based interventions with a personal, human-centered approach, always staying rooted in truth and driven by results.

Shahzaib Lalani

Founder & CEO, Verity Behavioral Solutions

Shahzaib Lalani is the visionary CEO and Co-Founder of Verity Behavioral Solutions. A serial entrepreneur with a keen business acumen, Shaz launched his first venture at just 18 years old and has since built, scaled, and successfully flipped multiple businesses. His entrepreneurial journey eventually led him into commercial real estate and development, where he continues to thrive.

Shaz was the driving force behind bringing Verity to life, inspired by his wife, Mariam’s, unwavering passion for helping children and families through Applied Behavior Analysis (ABA). Over the years, he witnessed firsthand her dedication to the field and knew that her vision deserved a strong foundation. With his expertise in business development and operations, he saw an opportunity to merge purpose with strategy—leveraging his resources and experience to create a clinic that sets a new standard in ABA care.

As CEO, Shaz ensures that Verity Behavioral Solutions operates with sustainability, innovation, and long-term impact in mind. His leadership fosters a culture of authenticity, excellence, and growth, making Verity not just a clinic, but a movement dedicated to transforming lives.

BCBA Steffanie Minnifield-Stephens

Steffanie Minnifield-Stephens

MS, BCBA, LBA. | ABA Director

Steffanie A. Minnifield-Stephens, MS, BCBA, LBA is a Board Certified Behavior Analyst with more than nine years of experience serving individuals and families. Certified as a BCBA since 2020, she has worked with clients ages 2–20 across a variety of developmental and behavioral needs.

She is currently pursuing a Doctor of Psychology (PsyD) in Clinical Psychology at Capella University. She earned her Bachelor of Arts from Saint Mary’s College in 2014 and her Master of Science in Psychology with a concentration in Applied Behavior Analysis from Kaplan University (now Purdue Global University) in 2016.

Mrs. Minnifield-Stephens has extensive experience supporting individuals with autism spectrum disorder and their families. She emphasizes strong therapeutic relationships and integrates behavior analytic principles with Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT) strategies to promote meaningful change.

She has served in leadership roles including BCBA, Clinical Director, and Regional Clinical Director, providing clinical oversight, mentoring staff, and ensuring ethical, high-quality care.

Outside of work, she enjoys exploring new restaurants in the Dallas–Fort Worth area and spending time with her family.

D’Avia Contreras

Behavior Consistency Specialist & Clinical Intern

I’ve lived in Texas for 5 years and I’ve been an Registered Behavioral Technician for 5 years as well.

Graduated from Greensboro College with a bachelor of science focusing on Psychology and child/adolescent development. Currently working toward a Masters degree in Special Education and teaching license.

As the Behavior Consistency Specialist, I am responsible for helping maintain compliance with ethical and professional standards across the organization. I work to ensure that employees remain aligned with BACB ethical standards, maintain competency within their scope of practice, and continue providing high-quality services that prioritize client welfare and professional integrity.

I like to spend my free time with my 2 dogs, doing DIY projects around my home, and being outdoors.

Anita Morris

Floor Manager & Chancellor of Imagination

From Mesa, Arizona, and has been in the ABA field over two states and six years. Anita had her first experience with autism when her cousin was diagnosed when Anita was a teenager.

While in college she began her ABA journey. Her passion for new adventures and creativity has guided her throughout her career.

Through the power of imagination and determination all things can be done! Using the spirit of creativity to be the back end support of the clinic to ensure that not only our clients have the best possible care but also our staff. Ensuring a facility that is safe and welcoming for all inside to be as creative to reach their fullest potential is not a goal it is the standard!

Allegra Antwine

Activities and Resource Coordinator & Lead Registered Behavioral Technician

I was born and raised in Garland, Texas. As a mother of a son and the owner of a dog, I bring a personal commitment to caring for others into my professional life. With over a decade of experience in childcare—spanning roles in daycares, as a nanny, and as a paraprofessional within the school district—I have developed a strong foundation in education and child development.

Since 2018, I have been dedicated to the field of Applied Behavior Analysis. My passion for ABA is reflected in my commitment to working with children and their families. I take great satisfaction in assisting each client and observing their progress and improvements.

This role not only aligns with my professional skills but also fulfills my passion for making a meaningful impact on the lives of children. In my free time, I love to read, listen to music, watch true crime, and spend time with family and friends.

Clenasia Anderson

Clinical Intern & Registered Behavioral Technician

I am a dedicated BCBA intern currently pursuing my degree in Applied Behavior Analysis, with a passion for supporting children and families through evidence-based interventions.

In my role, I assist with implementing behavior plans, collecting and analyzing data, supporting skill acquisition programs, and collaborating with supervising BCBAs to help clients reach meaningful goals. I enjoy building positive relationships with clients while continuing to grow my clinical knowledge and professional skills in the field of ABA.

Outside of work, I enjoy spending time with family and friends, reading books, listening to music, and watching anime.

Damen Robinson

Registered Behavioral Technician & Social Media Guru

I’ve been working in the field of Applied Behavior Analysis (ABA) since 2021. I was seeking a career that aligned with my bachelor’s degree in Psychology and Mass Communication, and I discovered ABA.

I’m passionate about working in this field and witnessing the remarkable growth and progress of the children I support. I manage content scheduling, monitor social media trends, and engage with online audiences across various platforms.
